History St. John's Library is one of two Carnegie Foundation libraries belonging to the Winnipeg Public Library system, the other being Cornish Library. Built in 1915, the Library boasts beautiful old dark oak woodwork and antique reading tables. To enter St. John's Library is to recall the quietly solid, genteel libraries of the early twentieth century.
