History Munroe Library opened in 1964 as a branch of the Henderson Regional Library serving the municipalities of East Kildonan, North Kildonan and East St. Paul. Service was expanded in 1966 to include neighbouring Elmwood as well. Increasing demand for service led to two moves into larger quarters. The last move was in 1988 to the current 8,000 square foot location in the shopping mall at the corner of Munroe Avenue and London Street in East Kildonan.
