ASK A LIBRARIAN SERVICE
Information Services houses the Millennium Library systems most comprehensive reference and non-fiction collections. Reference staff are on hand to answer your questions, instruct you in the use of the library and its print-based or electronic resources and guide you in your choice of materials. Service is provided in person at the Information Services desk, over the telephone and, most recently, online through the electronic reference service.
The 32,000-volume reference collection includes general and subject-specific encyclopedias, almanacs and dictionaries. If you require newspaper or magazine articles, we offer print indexes that let you find citations on any topic and workstations dedicated to searching specialized databases. Other significant collections include Canadian and international business directories, government publications, North American phone books and investment newsletters.
The Library has strong collections in many non-fiction subject areas including consumer health, travel, computer applications, cooking, motion pictures, literary criticism, automotive repair and home improvement.
If you need a book that we dont have, Information Services offers an interlibrary loan service whereby we will request the book from another library system. For more information, call 204-986-6450.
