Collections and Circulation Charleswood Library houses a collection of approximately 48,000 items. Fiction and non-fiction books in regular print, large print and audio formats, DVDs, music CDs, and over 125 magazine subscriptions are among the types of material available for adults, young adults and children.

Call2Recycle Battery Recycling Winnipeg Public Library has joined the Call2Recycle battery recycling initiative. All libraries now have special recycling boxes where you can dispose of batteries and cell phones. Simply put your used batteries and cell phones in the bags provided and we'll do the rest.

History The first Charleswood Library was opened in 1964 in Dieppe School. In 1966, the Library moved to the former muncipal building of the Rural Municipality of Charleswood after the new Municipal Office was built next door.
In 1976, Charleswood Library joined the Winnipeg Public Library system.
The latest expansion of the building was completed in 1983, bringing its size to the present 6,700 square feet.
