The Library Board is delighted to announce that its nominee for a national literacy
award, Winnipeg Public Library's Coordinator of Community Outreach and
Marketing, Kathleen Williams, was a joint winner of the Canadian Library Trustees'
Association's (CLTA) 2011 Stan Heath Achievement in Literacy Award, presented at
the Canadian Library Association's annual conference in Halifax at the end of May.
The award is presented annually to a public library board that has initiated
an innovative program that is contributing significantly to the advancement of
literacy in its community.
